UMKC Wind Ensemble & Wind Symphony Halloween Concert
We traveled once again to KC on October 27, 2006 for the annual Halloween Concert, featuring the UMKC Conservatory Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony. The Wind Symphony started the concert with a couple of very interesting pieces by the guest composer Steven Stucky, then the Wind Ensemble performed four pieces (including the always popular "Voodoo"), and the Wind Symphony finished the concert with two pieces.
Below is a sampling of the photos that we took during the concert ... the first 3 are of a little skit that took place just before the Wind Ensemble took the stage ... the next 7 are of the Wind Ensemble ... the dark photo is of a flautist that performed in the balcony while the Wind Ensemble was leaving the stage ... the next 4 photos are of the Wind Symphony ... and the final two photos are of Margaret and Geremy after the concert.
